Women Training and Promotion (WOTAP) Association Wau is a female initiated organization, working in the field of children and women development. The goal of our work is to improve the social and economic standard of living of women in Greater Bahr al Ghazal to attain self-reliance and development.

Our vision means a commitment to lead and transform the women of South Sudan towards sustainable development and peace.

Our mission is to respect the dignity and rights of the community by working through grass-root mobilization and participation. We address primarily the needs of the community with emphasis on women and children with social services, skills training, income generating activities and advocacy.

WOTAP was established in 1993 and is registered with social welfare and HAC. The start of WOTAP operation in Wau town was in 1995 with the implementation of projects in education, health, agriculture and income generating activities. Since 1995 we have been working with International NGO’s, Government Organizations and the United Nations on projects to achieve our objectives.
